I’m back from a fantastic trip to Marcellus, NY and also Minneapolis, MN for Quilt Market. Wow — what an incredible week. I’ve got much to share — lots of photos and great stuff to tell you about, but I hope you’ll give me a day or so to unpack and get things back to normal around here first. In the meantime, you simply must check this out. I loved meeting Kelly Ann and Jackie at Quilt Market. These gals were a hoot!
Be sure and come back soon. I’ll have the update posted in a jiffy!
and you were a hoot…guess that made us a bunch of owls?? What a fun visit we had with you..
Kimberly,
It was great to meet you. Love your book. Hope we see you again soon along the quilting highway.
And here I thought I thought you ran away to join the circus! Good to have you back!!
I checked out Kelly Ann’s blog & have put it on my favorites. You ladies look like you tore it up at Quilt Market! Don’t you know that quilting is serious business? HA!! What’s the Jimmy Buffett line? “With all of our running, and all of our cunning, if we couldn’t laugh then we’d all go insane”.
Maybe you (or your readers) can help me. I am looking to make a quilt as a wedding gift, using your Jelly Roll book, but I need to find a jelly that has the colors of the bridal couple’s bedroom — light blue, aqua, and brown. I know that those colors were hot in the fabric lines a year or so ago, but not so much anymore. If I can’t find a jelly, I’ll just have to do my own stripping, which is not particularly attractive at my age.
Can’t wait to see your pictures!
Hey, Pat! It’s great to be back! I’m still unpacking and sorting out all the goodies I picked up in NY and MN! Can’t wait to do a mini virtual “show and tell” soon. If you’re looking for a jelly roll with those fabulous light blues, aquas, and browns, you simply MUST check out CHERISH NATURE by Deb Strain (Moda). I bought a Jelly Roll and supporting yardage from the bolt recently and can’t WAIT to begin making something spectacular from it! It is just the colors you’re looking for, so be sure to check it out soon!
Hi Kimberly-
Thanks for blogging about your Quilt Market activities!
As a vendor at Quilt Market, I do not always get out and look at all the beautiful booths so thanks for sharing!!
That’s pretty cool you let your readers know what went on!!
