This is a view of my studio before last Tuesday.
Then a production crew from Craftsy.com flew all the way from Denver and transformed my studio into this:
My fabulous, funny, amazingly talented and professional production team:
Jarrod (right), Adam (center) and Justin (left)
There was even a hair and make-up artist who came to the house each morning before I went on to the set
And although we all worked really hard (there were some very long hours over the course
of three action-packed days), we had the best time and laughed so much
Even Divot joined me on camera and made a cameo appearance!
My amazing producer, Justin
Let me just say that I have a whole new appreciation for just how difficult it really is to teach quilting classes on camera. Of course, these guys were consummate production professionals who really knew their stuff and helped make the whole shoot go as smoothly as possible. But thank goodness for the editing process. I’m sure there is enough footage left over to fill up a DVD with my bloopers and outtakes!
Stay tuned because in just a few weeks, you’ll be able to see me at www.Craftsy.com teaching a brand new course called
Magical Jelly Roll Quilts!
(To Alissa, Justin, Jarrod and Adam…….Thank you all for coordinating everything so beautifully! I can hardly wait to see the finished video!)

Can’t wait, Kimberly!
Looking forward to it!
Hi,
i recently took your jelly roll magic class at The Villages on Tuesday, May 8. I really enjoyed it as well as your enthusiasm.
When i got home and finished my blcks, i could not remember how to square up the blocks..The directions say to use the 45 degree angle and the 41/4 inch mark, but from where?? Where do you line up the 45 degree and from where fo you measure the 41/4 inches?
I was also wondering if you could redemonstrate in a tutorial how to pin the diamonds together using only the one pin..
Thank you so much…i really enjoyed the class

I’m so excited! Magical Jelly Roll Quilts is now available on Craftsy. I signed up just now. Can’t wait to get started.Soup and sandwiches for supper tonight, I suspect…
Thank you so much for posting these pictures! It’s fun to see “behind the scenes” footage. 😀 And I LOVE your studio!!! I’m signed up for your class and can’t wait to get started!
All signed up! I have taken a few of these Craftsy video classes, and think it’s the wave of the future for quilting instruction. Not everyone can take an in-person class, so this allows you to share your enthusiasm, talent and amazing ideas with so many more quilters. And you never go away! If I need a refresher, all I have to do is watch that episode over again. My only question is: how are you going to hand out chocolate?
Signed up for your course. Just ordered the jelly roll ruler and discovered I already had some of your designed products already in my supplies!
Your love for quilting and your exuberance is so self evident. I’m sure I will gain much from the class and just
seeing your great attitude. Though it was no doubt difficult to put those classes on video, we’re glad you did.
I’ve taken other classes on Craftsy and I love them. I’d say most of what I have learned about sewing and quilting has come from my Craftsy classes. Before then, I would look at a quilt and say: I would NEVER be able to do that! I hadn’t the faintest idea of where to start. I once started to make a quilt of just pieces of squares and rectangles. Then I stopped. Now that I began sewing FOR REAL, I just found it. It wasn’t so bad and I will finish it up as a baby quilt.
Teachers like you make lives more enriched and just wanted to pass on that your attitude and smiles have already encouraged me to keep going. Also, your easy going manner makes it all seem possible.
THANKS!
Hi Diane – Thank you so much! I just loved reading your comment and it really made my day. I’m just so happy to hear that YOU are happy and excited about the video series and sewing FOR REAL again! Keep on going!
