Don’t you just love surprises — especially when they are good surprises? Even better still….when they are totally awesome, out-of-the-blue-and-completely-unexpected surprises? I do! And I received one such surprise just the other day. I came home and found a little brown box at my front door. I hadn’t ordered anything recently, so I wasn’t expecting a delivery. When I opened the box just look at all the goodies I found inside:
There were all kinds of quilty-type gifts including pincusions of various shapes and sizes, a cute little needle holder, beautiful fabric tied with a bow, a thread-catcher and lovely hand-written note. The wonderful members of the Cypress Creek Quilt Guild sent this amazing care package to me — just because! I can’t tell you how much this thoughtful gesture touched my heart!
Thank you Cypress Creek Guild members. Thank you SO much! I will certainly treasure all thoughtful gifts you sent to me every time I use or see them. Yep, it was my lucky day when that box showed up on my front door. Lucky me! 🙂

I have a dear friend who calls those GFNARs: Gifts For No Apparent Reason. They are the best! And just in time for your new nest.
Pat, that’s a great acronym! I’ll remember that one. Thanks! 🙂
Lucky you! It is always very nice to get unexpected presents. I wonder if I could ask you a question. Did you recive my e-mails? I can have done something wrong when I send them.I think I used the right adress. Thank you so much if you can answer that question. Hanne
Aw what a great gift basket! The thread catcher is awesome I’ll have to track down the person with the pattern for that.
I got my sewing class box all packed for Friday night Mystery Quilt extravaganza! Can’t wait to have some more fun with you as an instructor.
