I had the supreme pleasure of teaching at another retreat for the Manatee Patchworkers Quilt Guild on Saturday. Oooweee….we sure had F-U-N! I just love these ladies. They are ultra creative and talented, and oh-so willing to learn new techniques and try new things.
They began the day by crowning me “quilt queen” (thanks for the tiara, Randy!) And I dove into a pile of someone’s strips and came up with two batik strips with kitty motifs. Who knew Jelly Roll strips accessorize so well as a neck scarf?
The room was light and bright with plenty of space for cutting and pressing.
And it was filled to capacity with enthusiastic quilters!
There was a delicious pot-luck lunch and everyone had the BEST time.
And lovely Lonestars began bursting forth throughout the room!
It was such a great day. Really, really GREAT!
Thanks, ladies. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and I hope you did, too!
You are a delight, Kimberly! Everyone had a ball! Thank you for a great day!!
